2016 Exitus Red Wine — Does Bourbon Barrel Aging Make It Special?

*** I received this wine as a sample. ***

Today, I’m tasting the 2016 Exitus, which is a red wine blend aged in Kentucky Bourbon barrels. The SRP is $25, but the price online looks to be between $16-$18. Also, as an FYI, I received the wine as a sample. Cheers!

  2. Since we’re just getting started with the year, what would you like to see more or less on A Glass After Work?  Do you have any specific recommendations?

A Bootleg Halloween

Hi wine friends! I’m sorry for not sharing my Halloween #WineWednesday pick, but the trick-or-treating and festivities went a little longer than I planned. I opened the 2014 Bootleg Red Blend, which was  $30 red wine and a perfect pairing for our slow cooker chili, a delicious addition to the hot cider we made, and a good choice for my favorite chocolate treats.
