Hi wine friends…and Happy #WineWednesday! In this video, I taste and review the 2016 Slater Run Vineyards First Bridge, which is a $38 red wine from Virginia. The wine is a Bordeaux-blend of 44% Cabernet Franc, 26% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot. And, if you live in the DMV or are visiting the area, Slater Run is doing an amazing job keeping everyone safe during the pandemic. Cheers!
Next up is a wine I found from watching Wine Guide — a Vina Otano Rioja Crianza 2016. You can find his review here.
My top is the Tome Pink Colorblock Sweater from Rent the Runway.
Questions of the Day:
- Have you had Virginia wines before? If so, what did you think of them?
- And, if you’re a regular VA wine drinker, what are your favorites?
Yes! I love our VA wine and all the red blends. I suspect the next big thing for Virginia wineries will be developing a signature white to serve alongside their established reds. Have you tried any exceptional white blends?
